We are a Licensed Customs House Broker. As a broker we perform the following duties:
- Arrange customs clearance for personal effects and commercial shipments for both air and ocean shipments
- Obtain Power of Attorney and verify accuracy of information, Denied Party Screening
- Assess duties, classification and appropriate US Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) description to imported merchandise
- Work with importers to ensure timely release of their import freight, educate customer on Trade Programs that may be of benefit to their import duty rates
- Arrange for Inland delivery as needed after Import shipment cleared
- Arrange for Importer Security Filing (ISF)
- Create In Bond documentation
- Provide Customs Bonds for importers
- Work with Customs on any questions or concerns regarding entries or changes in regulations, including meeting with Customs regularly and attend local trade meetings
- Stay current with changes in regulations; notify importers of changes
- National Permit / Remote Location Filing enabling us to clear cargo throughout entire United States
- Provide regulatory guidance to clients/partners
- Submit Import Documentation to Steamship Lines/Air Carriers for release; communicate with Steamship Lines/Air Carriers for arrival information
- Quote import rates for ocean, air, domestic, FCL, LCL, OOG
- Electronically submit duties to Customs and Border
- Protection (CBP)
- Work with overseas agents
- Provide In Transit visibility to customers
- Educate importers on Incoterms
